A new chapter for our school community
Helen B Stafford PTA was recognized as a tax-exempt public charity in 2024 to unite families and educators around student success.
Who we are
Officially organized to serve Helen B. Stafford Elementary.
We are Helen B Stafford PTA — a parent-teacher association based at 1615 S 92nd St, Tacoma, WA 98444-3002. Our work centers on building community and supporting education for every student.
On October 3, 2024, the IRS determined that we are exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) and classified as a public charity under Section 509(a)(2). Donors may deduct contributions under IRC Section 170.
What we do
Programs that strengthen school life.
We focus on practical support families and teachers can feel throughout the year.
Student enrichment
Help fund classroom tools, field experiences, and enrichment that expand learning beyond the basics.
Family engagement
Host welcoming events that connect caregivers, teachers, and neighbors across our Tacoma community.
Teacher support
Back educators with appreciation efforts, supplies, and volunteer power when it matters most.
Our promise
Transparent stewardship for a young nonprofit.
As a newly established organization, we file the required annual IRS information return or e-Postcard and keep careful records of how funds serve students.
